Since 1996, we’ve provided local and international students with inclusive and welcoming student accommodation. We are centrally located in Melbourne’s university district.
Our student accommodation is across the road from the University of Melbourne’s Parkville campus. CMC is ideally located for students at:
- University of Melbourne
- Trinity College Foundation Studies
- RMIT University
- Other university city campuses.

Reception
Living at CMC means you’ll get personalised service and care every step of the way. Peter and Vicki are here to welcome you home and are available to answer any queries.
We’re here to help you feel settled and welcome in our student accommodation. Parents can rest easy knowing their child is in good hands.
Reception is open from Monday to Friday. At other times residents have an after hours number to contact the manager directly for assistance.
Lounge Room
When you’re not studying, you can make the most of our lounge room. Relax on the couch, read, watch a movie or spend time with your new CMC friends.
Kitchen
Eating a healthy diet is essential for brain power, memory and focus. Our large commercial kitchen makes it easy to cook meals at home. It has everything you need, including:
- Generous bench space
- A refrigerator & freezer
- Kitchen appliances
- Your own lockable dry storage cupboard.
Dining
Next to the kitchen we have a dining area where you can enjoy your food with other students. A love for food is a great way to connect with other CMC residents. You may even choose to cook and eat together occasionally.
Laundry
For many students it may be the first time doing their own washing. Our laundry machines are coin operated and very easy to use.
Conveniently located on the first floor of CMC, you’ll find everything you need, including:
- Washing machines
- Clothes dryers
- Ironing facilities.
Shared Bathrooms
There are many separate male and female bathrooms on each floor at CMC. Bathrooms are cleaned daily, as well as all other common areas. Students will need to bring their own toiletries.
Gym
Studying at university keeps your mind active. It is also important to balance study with physical activity. Getting some exercise into your day is easy living at CMC. All our residents have full access to our gym facilities. Work up a sweat, stay healthy and achieve a good study-life balance by including exercise in your day.
Our cardio-equipped gym is located on level 3 and includes cross trainers and rowing machines. Make the most of the free gym facilities at any time of the day or night.
Security
Your safety is our number one priority. We go to great lengths to ensure our entire student accommodation is safe and secure. CMC has a state-of-the-art security system, 24/7 video surveillance and alarmed emergency exits. As a student, you will receive your own, individually numbered key access to safely enter CMC.
To protect against the risk of fires, CMC has a range of fire safety equipment, including:
- Fire sprinklers
- Smoke detectors
- Thermal detectors
- Fire blankets
- Safety equipment.
